how to block a website in windows 7

We all know that some websites are highly dangerous. So do you want to know how to block these kinds of websites? Now the following are the most used ways.

In Windows XP / Windows-7 a simple trick is using the hosts file, and it goes this way:

 Step-1:- Open My Computer

Step-2 :- Browse C: (or your Operating system drive)

Step-3:-Browse Windows –>System32–>drivers–>etc So the Location will be C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc In the etc folder look for the file hosts

Step-4:- Open this file hosts with notepad. In Windows -7 Notepad is open as "run as administration" otherwise system can not save this file..

Step-5: At the bottom of the file, add the line as shown below:

Step-6: 127.0.0.1 "www.websiteToBlock.com"

           www.websitetoblock.com is the site you want to block ex. I have block "youtube" so Write this ..127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com .

Step- 7:- Save the file.

Now You can Block this site....
